Dr. Bernd Riggers has taken over the position of the
President and CEO of Lufthansa
Technik Tulsa. Dr. Bernd Riggers was born in 1965 in Hamburg. He finished his initial studies at the University of Berlin with a diploma in business and engineering. Dr. Riggers continued his education at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Economics.
Dr. Bernd Riggers joined Lufthansa Technik in 1998, initially responsible for various logistics and asset management projects. In 2002, Dr. Riggers became head of operation of the Airframe Related Component Service (ARC®) business unit. He took over as director of this unit two years later, the position he held when he was asked to take over his current responsibility.
Dr. Bernd Riggers is married and have three sons. In his spare time he enjoys his hobbies, with sailing, golf and hiking among them.
