ARC®-Engineering stands for the comprehensive engineering services offered by Lufthansa Technik for airframe related components such as fan reversers, cowlings, radomes, flight control surfaces and other mainly composite components. The engineering expertise accumulated by Lufthansa Technik AG in this field over more than 25 years assures top-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) even beyond the manufacturers' manuals, keeping turnaround times and customers' expenses at a minimum.
Repairing instead of scrapping
Parts of a reverser Total Technical Support (TTS®) and Engine Nacelles Support customers as well as single-event customers benefit from Lufthansa Technik's complete service package including all MRO aspects such as component-related service bulletin assessment, compliance assessment of authority requirements or warranty management. By developing and certifying technical improvements and novel repair solutions the highly qualified engineering team can often solve problems and even add service value to the components without costly part replacements.
Ready for the future
Lufthansa Technik actively drives the development of new technologies and is therefore often a step ahead of state-of-the-art. To ensure it can continue to do so in the future, our engineers and technicians are constantly developing new repair methods. One major activity entails the preparation for new aircraft types whose fuselage and wing structures are constructed virtually etirely out of carbon fibre.
