Repair Development

In Lufthansa Technik's Airframe (ARC®) Related Components division engineering and repair development have a decisive function in keeping MRO of customers down.

Approved worldwide

Approved by manufacturers and authorities worldwide, Lufthansa Technik is certified by the FAA (14 CFR, Part 145) and EASA (Part 145 and Part 21) as a maintenance, design and production organization. ARC" engineers work together with both OEMs and airworthiness authorities to develop new repairs and to seek out new technologies for our customer's benefit. In doing so, state-of-the-art CAD/CAE techniques are used.

Rapid development process

The recently established rapid capability development process can shorten the time to create and validate a repair by up to 50 percent. 3D models form the basis of the entire development process, integrating repair design, validation and quality control. And the applied rapid tooling methods significantly reduce the reaction time to newly aidentified demages of your components.

Advanced methods

Using the process depicted above as well as other advanced methods, prompt, competent and affordable design and product engineering is ensured. This leads to a safe, reliable and costeffective operation of your structural components. We continuously train our highly skilled engineering team to be at the leading edge of component maintenance and repair operations. This is especially true for core technologies like adhesive bonding and composite materials. For example, among other important qualification measures, we have trained a member of our engineering team to be a accredited European Adhesive Engineer (EAE)
